Read an interesting article today, its about parents helping their children go match-making. The 1st qn a parent will ask is your child M/F. More will likely get F for an answer and the ratio of M:F is about 35:65. Wow. So majority of the parents are seeking for a son-in-law. Reasons given for that are due to career and no plans to start a family yet. See how the society has moved on? Changes in perceptions. Time will tell. Another article i read from wanbao is quite sad. A woman who had cancer decided when her life will end. After much discussion with doctors and some checkups, it was decided that she can be 'put to sleep'. She chose Feb11 to be the date.And till her last moments, shes still doing her best for the family. Her family were by her at her last moment. Some thoughts from her sons were that they regret they never spend more time with her, and even quarrelled with her. All said were too late. Lesson learnt: Do not take things for granted. Treasure what you have and leave no room for regrets! Articles aside, work was okay today. The topic chatted during lunch were about family. Some of my colleagues were sharing about their child's funny moments. What an 8 yr old child said when his mommy asked him a qn : |
